Jonathan Kirouac has been playing guitar and saxophone in the Winnipeg music scene for the past 21 years as well as teaching music lessons for then past 13 years.
He has played in many local rock/indie and roots band such as the Moses Mayes (early years), Velvet Pill, The Civil Disobedients, The Secrets and the JD Edwards Band.
He has also toured and performed through Canada and the United States with many different music tribute acts such as Nearly Nicks, Snake Oil, Big Top Radio, Revenge of the 80’s, White Doves and Amnesiac.
As a proficient studio musician and performer his music skills range from blues/rock/roots/pop and metal all the way to a little bit of jazz and classical. He has been teaching a wide variety of instruments such as guitar, bass, drums, piano, flute, clarinet and saxophone to beginner and intermediate students of all ages for years and will tailor the lessons to fit the skill and age of the student. I welcome students of all ages and believe that music should be fun and shared with all.

“If I found a teacher like him years ago, I could play something good by now”

“I have worked with Mr. Kirouac in my capacity as bandleader for many local projects. He has provided exceptional work as both a live sound technician and a recording engineer.”
